As a compassionate animal advocate, it is disturbing to learn that Roadside zoos are still in service and providing horrific care for the animals in their “care.” Such is the case at the Summer Wind Farms as stated in the following article at http://www.peta.org/action/action-alerts/tell-summer-wind-farms-close-roadside-zoo-give-animals-chance/?utm_campaign=062416%20PETA%20E-News&utm_source=PETA%20E-Mail&utm_medium=E-News

The Summer Wind Farms in Michigan has been noted for several violations of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) for such offenses as botched euthanasia attempts by its non-veterinarian operator to failing to provide animals with clean water or veterinary care. They have also been cited for keeping a 25-week-old tiger locked in a cramped cage in the basement of a house on the facility's property among other issues as stated in the article.  Animals at this facility are kept in less than perfect conditions and surely deserve better care and treatment.

The effort in this petition is to urge the officials at the Summer Wind Farms roadside zoo in Michigan to retire these animals by sending them to safe, healthy and reputable sanctuaries where they can live out their lives with their best interest and well-being in mind.  You can help me with this endeavor by signing and sharing this petition, adding your own comments and thoughts in favor of the animals suffering at this zoo.

Summer Wind Farms Officials at summerwindfarmsCSA@gmail.com – I strongly urge you to retire the animals at this facility and send them to safe, healthy and reputable sanctuaries where they can live out their lives with their best interest and well-being in mind.  Despite the many violations cited such as keeping animals in small and filthy enclosures as well as denying animals clean water to drink and adequate veterinary care, your license was renewed and the animals still imperiled. Stop the abuse and send these animals to a reputable sanctuary where they can receive the care, space and veterinary attention that they need.
