For about eight years now, a socioeconomic and political problem has been raging in Venezuela, mostly under the cruel totalitarian rule of their Dictator-Like president, Nicolás Maduro. Millions of Venezuelans have fleed from their country to places such as neighbours Colombia, USA, and so on. Due to the recent events in Christchurch I believe that this is an opportunity for New Zealand as a nation to show our support for other countries who too are in a dismal state, and showcase our acceptance of all cultures, beliefs, religions, and so on. So, by supporting this petition, you will be supporting my goal to appeal to the New Zealand government to potentially pass a bill/agreement of sorts that not only will allow us to accept Venezuelan refugees, but others seeking asylum.
