Tuition at Loyola Marymount University should be lowered 20 percent. This tuition will not include room and board, other expenses, and book supplies. Beginning on August 28th 2017 the price of tuition at Loyola Marymount University will be dropped 20% for undergraduate and graduate students. Students with scholarships will also have 20% lowered to their tuition. This lack of of tuition will be compensated for by cutting down 70% on funds appropriated to maintenance, landscaping, and advertising. Lowering tuition by 20% will help the financial well being for students in the future as it will lessen the amount of student loans taken out. Students' grades will be saved with a 20% price drop as it will allow students focus in their academics rather than stressing over the loans that they would have to pay off. Stressing over loans takes a toll on many students' mental health, therefore, lowering the price of tuition will help the general health and well being of the student body. Students are our future, therefore, we must invest in our students overall well being in order to make our own future even more promising.
