I saw the most disturbing video of a mutilated turtle that was Alive in a chinese supermarket in Milpitas, CA.

I truly have never seen anything like this and the turtle wasn't killed until someone bought a piece of it. First of all, why are they selling turtles for food consumption? & how long would that turtle have remained alive and suffering if no one wanted to buy parts of it? the owners did not listen to the person who shot the video and asked them to please kill the turtle and put it out of its misery and this petition is to ask that charges be brought against whoever was responsible for this act of animal cruelty.

We are each very disturbed by this unthinkable act of cruelty to a beloved turtle who I've never heard of anyone selling for food consumption. This poor living creature was alive while the top of his body was cut open, showing his insides. The people who worked at the supermarket, would not put the animal out of it's misery even when pleaded with. We believe this is a serious act of animal cruelty and that charges need to be brought upon whoever did such a horrible thing to an innocent living creature.
