The elephants have already experienced tragic ordeals whilst in temporary captivity in Swaziland. They have been beaten and tortured in order for their spirit to be broken. The suffering has to stop.
Elephants have extremely high emotional intelligence, they understand exactly what they are going through. They feel pain as we do, and being ripped apart from their family breaks their hearts.
