Stop the Kill After Attack Method

Every year hundreds of animals, some threatened, are killed by US law enforcement groups. The reason is animal attacks. The policy of many US agencies when an animal attack occurs is simply kill as many of that animal after the attack. A clear example of this policy is when a cougar attack occurs in California the police are mobilized to kill any cougar within certain limits of the area. This policy is sloppy and brutal, killing animals not responsible for the attack and having a detrimental effect on the local wildlife population. But cougars are not the only ones affected by the law. All animals including bears, wolves, coyotes, deer, and many others are affected by this policy. Please help correct the system and protect animals from a vendetta killing policy.
We the undersigned urge you to stop the unnecessary "kill after attack" policy of many law enforcement agencies. Every year hundreds of animals, some threatened, are killed by US law enforcement groups. They claim this slaughter is justified as a deterrent to animal attacks. A clear example of this policy is when a cougar attack occurs in California, the police are mobilized to kill any cougar within certain limits of the area.
