Tell Long Island Lawmakers: Residents Deserve Clean Water!

A new water quality bill proposed by NY state assemblyman Robert Sweeney (D-Lindenhurst), called the "Long Island Water Quality Control Act," would create new standards to improve the cleanliness and safety of Long Island's water supply.

The new bill prohibit the use of pesticides that could end up in Long Island's water supply, and would require more modern waste treatment systems installed to prevent nitrogen from reaching ground and surface waters.

Clean water is a basic survival need, and healthier citizens make a more productive, happier society. Please sign the petition to urge Long Island's legislators to pass the Long Island Water Quality Control Act!
