Communities Secretary Greg Clark has allowed an appeal by Yorkshire Evergreen (which is part US animal supplier Marshall Bioresources) to breed beagle puppies and other animals for drug testing in Grimston near Hull in Yorkshire.
Dogs taking part in the experiments are made to inhale toxic substances through masks, force fed through tubes and are strapped in harnesses while being injected with drugs. Substances tested on the dogs include weed killer, pharmaceutical drugs and industrial chemicals.
Please sign this petition in the hope that we can prevent these beautiful, loving gentle animals from being unnecessarily tortured and killed.

Dear Mr Cameron
I am absolutely astonished and saddened that Communities Secretary Greg Clark has allowed an appeal by Yorkshire Evergreen (which is part of the US animal supplier Marshall Bioresources) to breed puppies and other animals for drug testing in Grimston, near Hull in Yorkshire.
The poor dogs thay are forced to take part in these "scientific experiements" are made to inhale toxic substances through masks, force fed through tubes, and are strapped in harnesses while being injected with drugs. The substances tested on the dogs include weed killer and industrial chemicals and is totally unnecessary.
Subjecting these poor innocent animals to a lifetime of torture is totally barbaric and I am in no doubt that should your government continue to condone animal cruelty in such a way the British public will not be voting for a third term in office.
Surely there must be a more innovative or pioneering option in order to assist these scientists.
Yours Faithfully,
Beverley Peascod
