Elena Lenina, a Russian writer, thought it would be a neat idea to paint her kitten in pink for a party. However, the lifeless body of the kitten was found later; the pet had passed away due to blood poisoning, after ingesting too much of the colour.

All the guests at the party in question had to wear pink; the kitten allegedly made a sensation appearance on the red carpet. She paid with her life for that fame, it seems.

The unconscious owner took Instagram to explain that it was the hairdresser that actually painted the cat; she also claims that she was assured the kitten would be fine. ‘The pink color was specifically chosen for its healing benefits; it also is meant to strengthen the cat’s hear’ Lenina said.

Without any doubt, the stunt was pointless and neglectful. We hereby ask the authorities to prosecute Ms. Lenina for her irresponsible actions. This is blatant neglect. Besides prosecution, a ban on owning animals again should be enforced!
