Rent in Georgia, particularly in the Atlanta metro area, is getting outrageous. People who lease apartments or houses are finding it harder and harder to pay for their residences and keep up with other costs. Lack of affordable housing is a major factor in homelessness - many undomiciled people have jobs, but can't afford even the most modest apartments.
GA SB 125 will address this problem by restricting rents and making housing more affordable for more Georgians, as well as getting rid of conflicting laws regarding landlords and tenants. Thus, we call upon our representatives in the Georgia government to support this bill and see to it that it gets passed.
