To Change The Stigma of Mental Illness

We need to change the accepted stigma of mental illness. Reduce unneccessary doctor perscriptions. Change the meaning of what a minor brain problem from bad to accepted. That is my goal, and I am willing to spend time and do my best to change the stigma, even in the slightest.

For my whole life, everyday in school, public or even home, I hear others being called crazy, stupid, etc. for doing something different that is only symptom of mental illness.

Even when someone doesn't have mental illness, they are still crucified for having an illness. This discourages people who are actually sick to do much in life.

Whether someone does or doesn't have a serious mental illness, they shouldn't seek out doctors as if they'd do anything, instead, they should seek out family members and their loved ones. They are the real mental doctors.

Update #15 years ago
What's up guys, thank you so much for supporting my petition of "The Stigma of Mental Illness". I'd love to expand this community and actually make a difference, because this really is one of those overlooked and discouraged points of society. If you agree, and would like to message me about anything, email me at krada2@ocdsb.ca and I would love to help, especially that one signer who needed help.
