Demand a Independant Commission into the Financial State of Coolgardie Shire

One of the past CEO's of the shire invested ratepayers money in an overseas high risk, high gain scheme, without the permission or knowlege of the ratepayers.

When this scheme went broke it almost bankrupted the shire.

We are asking for an Independant Commission into this as well as why the Shire Council allocates the majority of rates from the Coolgardie township to other towns within the shire and why the councillers are so busy furthering their own agendas that they forget why they were elected in the first place.

Coolgardie is a historical mining town in the western Australian Goldfields and is referred to as the Mother of The Goldfields due to gold being discovered there by Arthur Bayley and William Ford on the 17 September 1892.

Located only 38 kilometres South of Kalgoorlie/Boulder the people of Coolgardie have had a succession of CEO's and Shire Presidents over the past decade all supposedly acting on their behalf managing Shire funds.
