The whole reason for prison is to rehabilitate. If i have served my time, then why is it a person cannot find a job due to my record? This is a case of double jeopardy due to the fact that i served my time, walked off your probation/parole and now a person can't find a job due to their criminal background. Although it is said that your criminal record can't effect your status in applying for employment, why do a criminal check? If a person is to come home and gain employment at a place of employment and n=make a reasonable wage, then the criminal history check has to go! A person is being judged based on a peace of paper that does not tell an employer who that person really is. Give a convicted felon a fair shot at turning their lives around by not being judged for something that was done in their past.
