Increased Internet Connectivity for Rural Australia

The internet has become part of our daily lives.

We use it to communicate with each other, access information, educate ourselves and purchase items from the comfort of our own home.

However, a large group of people living in this country do not have access to this ‘worldwide’ educational tool due to a lack of ports in our towns and cities. It can take telecommunication services up to 5 months to install ports in urban areas and a large group of country-wide and Riverina rural homes and business’ are still going without!

Australia is a country based on equality and everyone has a right to speak freely, but how far do actions need to be taken before our issues are dealt with and heard?

Ministers are required to lodge a response to a petition which 500 or more persons have signed within 35 calendar days from the date a petition is tabled, please sign this petition and let the minister know updates and more ports are needed in our rural Riverina regions to improve our connection to the wider world.
