"I am innocent on California's death row - Do not rush to execute me." Donald Ray Young

Donald Ray Young, aged 36 years at his trial, always claimed his innocence of a crime he did not commit.

On July 18, 1995 Donald Young was said to have killed five patrons and wounded the owner of the "Pato's Place" a bar in Tulare County during a robbery. The killers got away with about $ 300 from the cash register and all of their victims' wallets.

Young was never prosecuted in past, before this murder charge. Donald Young did go to great lengths to slow the wheels of justice. During the six years leading up to His trial, he filed 650 claims about his manner of defense and conditions of incarceration. He never testified in his own defense and shortly after the guilty verdict was rendered, he seemed resigned to his eventual transfer to death row.

Donald Ray Young was condemned to death in Tulare County on May 18, 2006. Donald looked straight ahead, showing no emotion when the death sentence was read. However, Donald still maintains his innocence.

As he says he never been to this bar. Evidence and witnesses can help prove his innocence. As he sits on death row, he cannot even file his Opening Brief to appeal. The record has to be corrected. Prosecutorial misconduct and police corruption are huge in this case.

His case is unfortunately not an isolated case. "I feel for the victims and their families," Young said. "But a whole lot of people know the guilty party are still out there."

I must prove my innocence,” he wrote. "I am innocent on death row... awaiting exoneration. Freedom comes at a cost -- I need your assistance in paying the price... I earned my Associates in Arts degree and now I am working on my Bachelors degree at Ohio University. A post-graduate law degree is my next pursuit on my way to freedom. Help me... help myself. I will prove my innocence!. I really need help with the tools that will open the prison gates for me. Will you lend a hand?"

Some 650 Inmates currently resides is California's death row. Donald Ray Young is one of those sentenced to death. It is not too late, the case is still open.

We ask that his case can be examined again, the evidence of his innocence to be unveiled, the witnesses be heard. Please sign this petition inn support of Donald Ray Young.

Thank you very much.
