Urge the Government to Take Action Now to Help Save the Tasmanian Devil

Tasmanian Devils are facing extinction. First seen in 1996, devil facial tumour disease (DFTD) has ravaged the Tasmanian

Devil population and estimates of the impact range from 20% to as much as a 80% decline with over 65% of the state affected.

In an effort to save the animal, a vaccination program has been initiated. However, the number of vaccinated Tasmanian Devils now killed on Tasmanian roads is 4 out of 20, according to a report on ABC.net.au

Reducing the speed limit around National Parks and reserves could help stop the carnage.

Will you join me in urging the Tasmanian Government to lower the speed limit around National Parks and reserves and to improve signage to encourage drivers to slow down.
