Please Join with the members of the Cow Creek Tribe of Umpqua Indians in Roseburg Oregon, in our fight to regain control of our Tribe and of our resources.
Through artful legal manipulations and a coup that deposed our long-time leader led by our own attorney and his powerful allies, we have lost all rights and powers over our own Tribe.
Help us restore a democratic form of member-led government, so that all our member's voices are each counted. No one at the BIA or other agencies we have appealed to will help us without many voices joining ours!
Please Help our people stop the tryanny going on in our Tribe from our leaders. Many of us have tried over the past 30 years to stand up to wrongs being done by the leaders and managers over us, with no success.
We cannot prevail as separate voices. Without assistance from the outside, and without the majority of our members standing together, the cycle of abusive power we have suffered under for years now will continue in our Tribe.
