STOP PET SALES AT THE JOCKEY LOT IN ANDERSON COUNTY, SC

The recent bust of a puppy mill where over 200 malnourished and sick puppies of different small breeds where found in disgusting sanitary conditions, most of them carring the deadly Parvo virus, was only possible by tracing a complaint by a person who purchased a $600 puppy from a regular dealer at this location. Visitors of areas where sick pets are being sold can easily pick up the Parvo virus by walking through feces or touching sick animals. The virus can be carried into your own home  and infect your own pet. It's almost always deadly.

Anderson county, SC has no restrictions of any kind on the sale of live animals at this location. There is no governmental oversight of sanitary conditions affecting the general public concerning the sale of live animals there.

This is not only a public health issue, but also a disgrace to our county.

Please sign this petition and also post to your social network sites. We need more signatures, hopefully more from South Carolina. Our goal is 10,000 signatures to send to the Anderson county and the SC state legislature.
Due to the recent publicity, Anderson county council is taking this issue up, but if there's no pressure, they will soon forget.
