STRICTER LAWS FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY

Quattro the Cat was beaten and killed at the hands of of young school children.

Animals are living beings that feel pain just as humans do.

Animal Abuse is on the rise.  No matter what we are led to believe, things are certainly not getting better for the animals.  This is a very serious issue.  It is a known fact that these abusers go on to hurt and kill people.

It is horrible to turn on the T.V. or radio and hear stories abound regarding animal abuse.  It is literally heartbreaking.  At one point we had the ASPCA Police Officers to hear our cries for help.  Unfortunately, the ASPCA has done away with their Police Officers.  That means that we have to rely on the Police Department for any animal related issues.  As the Police Department is already laden with emergency calls, it is fair to say that more animals will suffer and die because of a delayed response time.

This leaves us with one option. We must petition the Senate and Congress to enact stricter and harsher laws with respect to animal abuse.  The punishment should include a substantial amount of jail time without bail or a fine according to the nature of the crime.

We must act now as the animals are depending on us for their protection and well being.  It is up to us to stand up, and the only way to do this is to make our city take notice.  Every vote and every voice is important to our Senators.  By signing this petition we are letting them know that we have had enough and won’t stand by and let these abusers get away with murder.

We may not be able to stop the evil that walks this earth but we can certainly help to deter the actions of these criminals.
