Tell Aldo there is nothing "luxe" about wearing animals

My sister loves shoes but when she got the latest newsletter from Aldo she immediately forwarded it to me. The email reads like this:

" Most wanted: animal instincts

This season, flats, stilettos, ankle boots and satchels are flawlessly punctuated with animal accents. Go wild: pony hair, croc and snakeskin detailing add a luxe element to your daily rotation. "

The detailing is fake; however, the point is that they are trying to say that it is "luxurious" and "elegant" to wear animal products. Aldo isn't vegan by any means - they produce leather footwear - that isn't what I want to petition here. I am specifically asking you to petition the advertising that wearing animals adds a "luxe element" to your life.

Real or Fake... the promotion of this style is the promotion of animal cruelty.

Aldo Group Inc.,

Your most recent newsletter featured your ad "most wanted: animal instincts". It reads: "This season, flats, stilettos, ankle boots and satchels are flawlessly punctuated with animal accents. Go wild: pony hair, croc and snakeskin detailing add a luxe element [bold added] to your daily rotation."

The term luxe is defined as luxurious or elegant. I would like to state that there is nothing luxe about wearing animals. I understand you produce leather footwear but this specific petition is concerning the advertising of skins (yes, even fake) as elegant. Animal products are more often than not the result of intense animal cruelty.

I would ask that you remove this particular ad and no longer advertise that wearing products that support animal cruelty are luxurious and elegant.
