CBS Fired Actress Eliza Dushku Instead of the Man Who Sexually Harassed Her

Actress Eiiza Dushku has starred in many memorable roles, including her role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but one show you might not remember her from is CBS's "Bull." That's because she only starred in three episodes of the TV show. But as it turns out, Eliza was originally supposed to become a full-time cast member. So what happened?

According to the New York Times, Eliza was written off of the show after she confronted co-star Michael Weatherly for sexual harassing her. But not only was she kicked off the show, CBS paid her $9.5 milion to keep quiet about it.

Please sign this petition demanding that CBS right this wrong by holding the perpetrator accountable instead. Tell CBS to fire Michael Weatherly from "Bull" now.

Eliza's allegations include an assortment of comments that left her humiliated and uncomfortable at her place of work. While on set in front of cast and crew members, Weatherly commented on her body, said he would put her over his leg and spank her, and made gestures and comments alluding to his wanting to have a threesome with her. Because of Weatherly's status on the show, others followed his lead and made inappropriate comments to her. Eliza reports that she felt "disgusting and violated" — and rightfully so.

The news comes just three months after the network's chairman and CEO, Les Moonves, resigned over a dozen sexual assault and harassment allegations. Clearly CBS has a big problem with how it handles sexual misconduct, and that needs to be rectified now.

Eliza Dushku should not have been punished for being the target of someone else's inappropriate, and downright unprofessional, behavior. Sign now, and let's demand CBS fire Michael Weatherly now.
