CSX Corp. trains park from time to time at railroad crossings in Hunter Hills, blocking Chappell Road Northwest near Bernard Street. CSX officials have never explained to upset residents why it's necessary for their trains to block auto traffic for hours at a time. Chappell Road is a main throughway for emergency vehicles heading to Grady Memorial Hospital. Residents in Hunter Hills fear one day that the train blockages will result in someone dying needlessly on their way to Grady.
We the undersigned ask that CSX make sure their trains do not block any streets that serve as vital traffic routes. How difficult is it to park trains where they do not block any streets, or at least important roads?
