It is important to regulate the many hundreds of children's beauty pageants that exploit children from birth to 10 or 11 or older. The rules of  the pageants require children to flaunt themselves in front of judges; many of the programs require children in bathing suits parading around and actually flirting and doing inappropriate dance and talent acts for their ages. The fear of pedophiles honing in on these contests are appalling.....The pageant parents allow this to happen and it is quite disturbing....There are so many things wrong with these pageants on so many levels.

I am hoping that this petition will inform the public of the manipulaton and exploitation of children that can possibly have deleterious effects on development of their self image and ability to cope in society.
