This petition is for the 8 month old pit bull puppy Capone who was viciously shot after getting out of his home.
This puppy saw the group of kids in the area and went down the street to play as he was known to do. Unbeknownst to him, a cruel man in uniform would unload TWO CLIPS into him and the surrounding area: further endangering the lives of neighbors and children with extensive property damage. EVEN AFTER another Officer told him not to shoot.
The officer has been placed on desk duty. THAT IS NOT ENOUGH! Tell the Mayor, Camden Police Department and the city council that we will not tolerate trigger happy Officers taking the lives of our four legged family members!

The constant disregard by police for the families they claim to protect is abhorrent. This includes family pets. They may be animals to those in uniform, but they are much more to us.
This pitbull puppy was not only a victim to a cruel shooting but to Breedism. Seeing as pitbulls are likely prominent in the Camden area I would expect that officers be properly trained on how to handle those that are clearly not a threat. Erratically unloading two clips into the surrounding area is unacceptable and dangerous.
This officer should be suspended without pay, undergo a psychological evaluation, offer a direct apology to the family of Capone and the neighborhood mourning his lost, the department should be liable or hold him responsible for all damages from his negligence and finally he should be charged as any other citizen with animal cruelty.
We, the people, will no longer tolerate our pets; our family members, to be viciously ignored and gunned down by those who swore to serve and protect.
