I am writing in support of Anees Sous, married with 6 U.S. born children. His children's ages are 7, 13, 16, 17, 19, and 20.  Anees has been living in the USA continuously for over 27 years. I am writing to you after Anees has been told that he ran out of all of his options which could allow him to stay with his wife and children. To tell you the truth, I can't find the right words to describe what Anees's family is going through because of this, starting with confusion, signs of depression and sadness, thinking about this deportation and separation for unspecified period of time could do on all of them.

Anees's case and his wife's case were separated. They allowed his wife to stay and she was found eligible for a green card, because she has a visa waiting for her through a petition from her brother, after they have waited 13 years for this, and both Anees's name and his wife's name are on the same petition. Also Anees's oldest daughter Tasneem will be 21 years old by next July 2010, and will be able to file a petition for him.
It is almost the middle of the school year, Anees's wife and his children needs him not just to support them financially, but emotionally. Both of his oldest daughters are graduating from the University of Michigan by the end of this December 2009 and they still expect him to support them to get their Masters degree. Anees's oldest daughter already got accepted to the Graduate School at Wayne State University. His second daughter is seeking acceptance in the medical field as she is getting her Bachelor's degree in Biology. His oldest son is graduating from high school this year. He already took many dual enrollment courses in college. His son wants to become an engineer. Also his third daughter is already in college and she is only 16 years old. I wanted to give you an idea how Anees's children are doing, and how this deportation will tremendously have a negative effect on their advancing progress.

I think it is sad to deport Anees away from his wife and children, especially in these tough economic times and the rising winter bills; it is the most critical time Anees is needed to his family. When the judge denied Anees's case and applied the un-volunteer departure rule on him; the immigration will not allow him to come back to the USA for 10 years even when his wife and his oldest daughter file a petition for him.

Please help stop the decision to deport Anees and help keep the family united. Thank you.

Please sign this petition.

We the undersigned ask you to stop the deportation of Anees Sous. A horrible injustice has befallen Mr. Anees, a loyal family man and a beloved father of six US born children. The U.S. Immigration has recently informed him of its decision to deport him by January 21, 2009. His deportation is shocking and devastating to his family and community. He has been in the United States for over 27 years. He entered into the United States as a student and later made it his home. Since Anees's arrival in the USA as a young man from Palestine in 1982, he has done what millions of immigrants have done to help build this country through hard work. He has been struggling in immigration courts for years. He has never done anything against the law; he paid his taxes and he has never committed any crimes. There will be severe hardships in the prolonged separation of Anees and the rest of the family. Please do not let that happen. Anees's children deserve to live in a stable family. This is a country that values building strong families. We have faith in the system. We wish that Anees will stay and unite his family. We ask you to act on Anees's case. We urge to stop the deportation of Anees Sous, and keep his family united in the United Stated States of America.
