Stop Making Jemison High & Middle School Students Wear Uniforms

I feel like our school is singled-out in our county for being the only ones wearing uniforms. We would like to join the rest of the county and become the majority. It's actually more expensive to buy two sets of clothes. (Everyday clothes vs. uniforms)

We have a right to wear what we want and express ourselves as young adults.

Also, there is no evidence to show that uniforms cut down on bullying. A professor at Brock University who did research on the subject said bullies will "just find some other way to show status...Putting on a set of clothes doesn’t change a child."

If you think its unfair to be treated differently from other schools in the county PLEASE sign this petition to get rid of uniforms at Jemison! We need the school board to hear us out. We have voices too!
