Demand changes to sex offenders laws and registration

Current sex offenders laws require any offense dealing with what a state or our country deems sexual and includes any thing from simple exposure to rape. We need to stop making so many people sex offenders when they make a simple mistake in judgement at an early age and making the assumption that they are the same as someone who has committed multiple rape offenses.

Once a person is listed on a sex offender registry, they are on the list forever and even most offenses are subject to the current laws, those who are listed as sex offenders are often subjected to the current laws as well as any laws that are later imposed. If someone is a one time offender, why not release them from the registry after they have served 10 or 15 years or whatever is deem reasonable. The current laws do not allow someone of the list to ever have any hope of release which is unreasonable and inhumane punishment.
