Ask for maximum penalties for man torturing and killing puppy in front of his child!

Please sign and share this petition everywhere in an effort to get the maximum penalties possible for a man who tortured his family puppy and then killing it right in front of his young daughter.
Children and pets are a natural friendship and usually have such a close relationship. In this situation, the family puppy named “Lucky” was brutally tortured by the father in the home and then killed right in front of a young girl who obviously had a strong attachment to the pet. Not only did this guy commit animal abuse and cruelty due to a month of torture and eventual puppy’s death, he was also guilty of child endangerment. The poor animal never had a chance in life. He was only 4 months of age and the girl who witnessed the abuse and death is only 4 years of age. How devastating and dramatic for her; something she will remember and endure the rest of her life!
Mr. Alan Velete, 31 was arrested after his girlfriend’s mother called to report the death of the animal that he eventually tossed into a trash bin. Did she not see or witness the abuse before it got to this point? The girlfriend did not know his capabilities? And then allow him to be alone with the little girl? The entire story is unbelievable! All this abuse was swept “under the rug” because of the man’s history of domestic abuse and assault with a deadly weapon!
The abuse began when the young puppy relieved itself inside the home; that is what puppy’s do until they are trained. However, this enraged the man, causing serious abuse against the terrier-mix puppy. He kicked Lucky, punched him, taped his mouth shut, fed him psychiatric drugs and sprayed household cleaners in his eyes. Prosecutors said he would also put Lucky inside a duffel bag and hang him from a showerhead, listening to the dog whimper for hours on end. The young girl witnessed all the abuse and began to emulate the wonderful actions of her “dad,” her idol!
This is so heartbreaking!!!!! And the people in that home and no one even thought to remove the puppy to someone who could care for it and save its life that died by suffocation!!!!!!!!!!! Because of trash pickup times, the dog’s body was never found although they are on the lookout for the duffel bag it was placed in! Redwood City Police Department and Judicial System – You need to ensure that Mr. Velete is punished to the full extent of the law, not only for what he did to a poor, defenseless puppy who never had a chance in life but also for the child who witnessed all the abuse. That child will need therapy to realize that this is not how to treat an animal or she will grow up to be an animal abuser herself. I can’t believe that no one reported this guy before the demise of the animal, despite his history. If he was capable to torture and murder that animal, he surely was and is capable to harm a human like his own child. In fact, he did harm mentally and emotionally!! Give him the maximum penalty possible for the harm and murder he committed to the animal and family.
