Save Foss Lake State Park!

Oklahoma is at risk of losing 16 state parks due to budget cuts. My children and I want to try to save our area's state park, Foss State Park in Foss, Oklahoma.

If you live in the Foss area you are probably painfully aware that there is a great lack of activities to keep children engaged and active, without Foss State Park this list gets devastatingly shorter. I know a number of people in my area who would be greatly saddened at the loss of Foss State Park. I know it would be a great loss to my family.

For example, when my parents come visit us from out of state they bring their camper and stay in the Foss campgrounds because the facilities are clean and affordable. There really is no other nice facility in our area where they can hook up and stay in their camper.

Many others use Foss State Park for learning activities, camping, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, fireworks and many other outdoor activities. These groups include but are not limited to, the area school districts, including, Burns Flat Public Schools, Boy Scouts of America, church groups and many area families.

Please help save Foss State Park and keep our area children active, engaged and learning about wildlife conservation by signing this petition and informing our legislature that Foss matters to our communities.
