Support the proposed ban on the barbaric ‘sport’ of bullfighting in Mexico

A group of Mexican senators are proposing a ban on the barbaric sport of bullfighting.

Mexican senators from the National Action Party and the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico are pushing for animal rights reform that would see bullfighting shut down across the country.

Spain aside, Mexico has more bullfighting rings and professional bullfighters than any other country in the world.

However, surveys show that up to 80% of Mexicans are now opposed to bullfighting – believing that it should be abolished.

There is nothing ‘sport’ like about bullfighting. The bull is tortured for up to two days before the actual ‘fight’ – they have wet newspapers stuffed into their ears, Vaseline rubbed into their eyes, cotton stuffed into their nostrils to affect their breathing and needles pierced into various parts of their body.

They often have caustic solution rubbed into their legs to ensure they are off balance and are kept in a dark box for several days before they are released into the ring – hardly an even fight.

The Mexicans senators proposing the ban should be supported. Please sign and share the petition to support the proposed ban on the barbaric ‘sport’ of bullfighting in Mexico.
