This puppy does not need to die for being afraid.

A female dog (obviously dumped) living in the yard of a warehouse had a litter of puppies under a pile of rubble. Rescuers were called and 6 puppies were rescued this summer and found forever homes. They did not know 2 puppies remained. These puppies were never socialized or handled by humans. Animal control became aware of the situation of the mother dog (which rescue was unable to catch) and 2 remaining puppies. Live traps were set. The little brown and white puppy was trapped and remained in the trap overnight. He was TERRIFIED. The next day animal control arrived to remove him, a kind worker from the warehouse wanted to make sure he was handled kindly as he had been feeding the mother dog and cared about their welfare. He reached into the trap to move the puppy and he nipped at him as he was still terrified and had never had humans this close to him or touching him. Animal Control now wants to euthanize him due to this nip. They claim any animal of any age that nips or scratches will be euthanized. This puppy is approximately only 12 weeks old. He nipped out of absolute fear not aggression. The man who was nipped does NOT want this puppy killed. He did not have to seek any kind of treatment. The second puppy was also trapped and was released from animal control and is in a foster home and is doing wonderfully. This puppy deserves the same chance. A rescue is BEGGING to take this puppy and rehabilitate him, socialize him and when ready find him a forever home. Animal control refuses to release him and will euthanize this puppy. PLEASE HELP US TO HELP HIM!

Success!! Thank you so much to everyone who signed the petition to save the poor puppy who was sentenced to die. Little Oscar is in the care of the Saginaw County Adoptable Pets and the staff is working to socialize him.

It is so great to see how people can come together and make such a difference. Thanks for helping to save this puppy's life!

I apologize...the shelter had the wrong color collar on the dog and the dog is actually a male. I am trying to edit the petition but it won't let me..
