Regulate Spa/Salon Industry in BC

The Spa/Salon (Esthetics) Industry in BC is unregulated. This means that untrained individuals are able to carry out Esthetics services on the general public without them being aware. This could lead to injury, disease as the treatments involved can be pretty invasive e.g. waxing, microblading, manicure/pedicures, massage, artificial nails (burns, bruising, fungus, cuts (on a diabetic this could be very dangerous, artificial nails can lead to permanent nail damage etc). I want the Industry to unite and say enough is enough & education is important and needs to be carried out my qualified individuals. Also all those who wish to practice in the Esthetics/Spa Industry need to sit a licensing exam.
