Pituitary Tumors; Protocols for Synoptic Reporting help urge CAP (College of American Pathologists)

We want to urge the College of American Pathologists to recognize the need for synoptic reporting in pituitary tumors similar to the protocols used for cancers. Synoptic reports capture data clearly and concisely, and they encourage complete evaluation of relevant parameters. The lack of a recommended synoptic report for Pituitary Tumors creates yet another form of 2-tier pathology.  The lack of service to those who cannot pay in the US is upsetting. Without this synoptic report, the CAP is now creating another 2-tier based not on money, but on tumor type.  If you have an endocrine tumor, you need good pathology just as if you have breast or colon cancer; they all deserve a complete report. In laymans terms "we are requesting a more standard, complete reporting protocol that would give doctors better data, so that they can serve patients better." Support of this petition is appreciated.
