The anal electrocution of animals like foxes, mink and raccoons on fur farms. Animals crammed into cages and kept in filthy and cruel conditions, sometimes with untreated injuries. Animals beaten to death for their fur. CATS AND DOGS in China skinned alive and otherwise tortured and killed only for their fur to be sold, sometimes exported to the west and sometimes mislabelled as faux fur. The use of horrific traps to capture innocent animals like raccoons, coyotes, wolves and foxes only for the animals to be beaten or strangled to death.
I saw a woman today wearing what looked like real fur (raccoon fur?) on a hood. I felt angry and upset and wanted to speak up against it. IT IS SO CRUEL, HORRIBLE AND WRONG!!!!! Those who intentionally wear real fur should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and stop immediately!!! As for celebrities who deliberately wear and promote fur, how do they sleep at night?
The fur trade is a vile, hideous and extremely cruel industry. It is pure evil. Fur farms are often Hell on Earth for animals. Even fur farmers who do have better standards of animal welfare still kill their animals needlessly for profit, for their skins. The fur trade is unnecessary and should be confined to history books. Hunting for skins is also helping to drive some species to extinction. Hunting and trapping for fur also orphans many young animals and leaves them without mothers. Without their mothers, cute young fox cubs, raccoon kits, baby mink, beaver kits, lynx kittens, wolf cubs and coyote cubs will almost certainly die of starvation, predation or other causes. Even if their father is still alive, if the young animals haven't been weaned yet, he won't be able to feed them.
Animals are trapped, caged, strangled, beaten to death, have their necks broken, suffer injuries, are poisoned, gassed and skinned alive. All for fur coats, hats, hood linings, handbags and handbag accessories.
Real fur is no longer as socially acceptable as it once was. Many people in this country would not knowingly buy real fur. However, some retailers such as Fatface, TK Maxx, Boohoo, Boots and, probably, others have been caught out for selling real fur mislabelled as faux. To be fair, these retailers may not have known for themselves that the fur was real.
Fur farming has been banned in the UK for almost if not 18 years, and the last UK fur farm was shut down in 2003. However, fur is imported from countries like Poland, Bulgaria, Canada, Romania, China and Korea. China, I would say, are the worst country in the world for animal cruelty, with dogs and cats being crammed into crates and beaten, strangled and cooked alive for meat, dogs and cats being kept caged and beaten and skinned alive for their fur, badgers caged and abused for their hair to be used in brushes, wildlife meat markets, Yulin, animals like tigers, rhinos and bears used in Chinese medicine (this is the biggest reason why Africa's rhinos are going extinct, and one of the biggest threats to tigers, and Asian bears are kept in cages and gruesomely and disturbingly tortured for their bile to be used in Chinese "medicine").
