KEEP JACKSON ON THE $20 BILL!

Andrew Jackson was an amazing president. He believed in the people having more of a say in the government. He was strong, educated, and dedicated to the United States. People may judge him for the Trail of Tears, but that was an event blown out of proportion by his Vice President. The plan had not gone the way he wanted it. If he really hated the natives, then why would he have adopted a Native American son that he found on the battlefield? If he hated Native Americans, then he would have left the child to die or stuck him with a Native American family. He was fearless, as he did beat down the man that tried to assassinate him. His parrot was one of the most famous presidential pets. The musical known as Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson appeals to many. He had struggles and had a strong sense of what a true American way of life had been. He should not be replaced by Harriet Tubman.

YES, I admit Harriet Tubman was an American heroine. She freed many slaves and was brave in how she carried out her Underground Railroad missions. If she truly is worthy to be a face on U.S. currency, then another American hero shouldn’t be removed from it to do so. You could take Washington or Lincoln off of the penny or the quarter, as they are on bills as well. A new bill could be introduced or a discontinued one could be brought back. Not to mention many things have been placed on the various $1 coins. I doubt Harriet would want her face slandered for being a replacement to a fellow hero that people love.

So please, help end the decision to replace Jackson on the $20. We can find another way to incorporate Harriet on our money.
