Animal testing and experimentation is research conducted on animals by the cosmetic, household products, and personal care industries, for which testing is not mandated by the federal government. The experiments that are oftten conducted on animals include inescapable electric shocks, induced cancer, irritation tests, and toxicity tests. Animals have been scientifically proven to suffer and feel pain like humans, making these tests cruel, immoral, and unethical. Few government laws regulate these tests, and those that do are not strictly enforced, and do not account for 95% of the animals that are tested on. The lives of animals matter, and they need our help! TATE(Terminating Animal Testing & Experimentation) is a non-profit organization that works to end these cruel tests by petitioning the government and speaking up for animals.
