Boogie aka Cannnon is a LOVER....... NOT a vicious dangerous dog like Meriden,CT ACO is making it seem. Boogie loves when people come to visit and all he wants to do is kiss and sit as close to you as possible. He does jump up to your face to greet you with a kiss... This is what leads us to his issue.....
The neighbor who is a 70yr old women came over unannouced. Boogies mom(Susan) was awakened by the door bell. Susan opened the door and the women screamed....Boogie as always jumped up with his BIG goofy smile and tongue hanging out to kiss her BUT this time had even more excitement then usual because the lady screamed and as he came down he caught(bit) her bottom lip and yes half her bottom lip was split, remember older people have thinner skin.... ACO reports half of lip was missing. Boogie then coward down and was shaking knowing something was wrong... If he meant to do it by being vicious or dangerous the 70yr old women would've been knocked down and more injuies would've been inflicted. I am not making light of the issue by any means BUT having a disposal order on him is OUTRAGEOUS!!! He has NO previous bite history, is UTD on shots, Licensed with town and Neutered. He loves children of all ages, adults and his best friend is even a cat...
We are told an appeal could take up to a yr... He will have to stay in quarentine all that time with not even being able to go outside to use the bathroom. Why would ACO have made this decision? Could it be the ACO is doing this because Boogie was a Meriden Humane Societys dog originally and they have a rival against each other?? Makes sense to me...... Very sad and pathetic if that's the case!! We need to ban together for Boogie and support him any way we can!!! Please help us by signing this petition and sharing it with your friends, family, co-worker please!!
