Help sign this petition to support the legalization of ATVs and UTVs on Pennsylvania roads

I realize that tons of people, not just from my home town in Pennsylvania, but everywhere else in Pennsylvania are riding quads and side by side on the main roads. In fact, half of the United States already leagalized the “dual use” of these vehicles on main roads or country roads (along with regulations of insurance, registration, and titled. Also with the exception of turn signals, full front windshield, DOT approved tires, license plate cover and plate light, mirrors, and seat belts). Also, you hear more deaths upon people who have high speed chases with the police than you do people who ride the road from point A to point B. In fact, it’s a proven fact that more people get hurt or killed from trying to escape the police than people going from point A to point B. It is also more safe to ride a 4-wheeled buggy on a road than it is a motorcycle. Motorcyclists in the state of Pennsylvania are now not required to wear a helmet while operating his/her motorcycle. Making it less safe for the rider and a greater risk of injury from debris being kicked up from a tire of a vehicle. A UTV is more safe being most UTVs have a high strength steel roll cage that is able to stay in tact from multiple roll-overs in a short period of time. Also in most UTVs and ATVs is a gas gage, a tach (tachometer), a speedometer, and the ability to read engine temp, oil pressure, the current time, and rpms. Most, if not all of these types of vehicles already include headlights, tail lights, and illuminated braking lights. Making the machines more visible at night compared to motorists. Places such as the interstate (I80) for example, should not consider the use of these machines for the reasons as to safety and the misuse of operating the machine at too high of speeds that the machine can handle. “At night they just look like a mini Jeep, or a Suzuki Samuri” said a former resident from the Elk County area. Citizens should apply promptly to the “safety restrictions” on each individual machine. Be at least 18 years of age, and have a valid drivers license for the state of Pennsylvania. We should take in consider of the “dual use” these machines have. Whether it’s for going to point A to B, shopping, or enjoying the Pa scenery. We should be able to ride our machines on most of the Pennsylvania highways as most other machines with the same safety features do also.
