Animal Abuse Is Too Common.

In the UK the laws on animal laws aren't strong enough. the average number of cases reported in the media every year is 1920 although research we have done shows that the number of cases reported overall to charities is a lot higher. we think that the laws need to become tougher so the animal owner gets more punishment and the media coverage needs to be increased to raise more awareness. Our goal is for the government to at least look over the laws, it would be even better if it went to debate or the laws are changed. We have sent a letter to the local MP stating our ideas on how we think the laws can be improved we are waiting on a reply. Animals feel pain like we do and more people need to be reminded of this before they decide to abuse animals.

Update #16 years ago
We have received a reply form the local MP saying our ideas will be suggested to people further up in the government possibly the house of commons.
