Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Kathleen Wynne,
I urge the federal and provincial governments to withdraw bill S-223 related to the Firearms Act, and the Criminal Code. This is directly affecting current and future hunters, sportsmen & women, as well as anyone who has a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL).
I am shocked that Parliament, and the Canadian government are trying to implement such a Bill, while other important concerns remain unresolved. Please don’t rush ahead with a Bill that will violate Canadian human rights, and the freedom we are entitled too. The Charter of Rights and Freedom was put in place to protect Canadian citizens equal rights, not to be subjected to cruel treatment, or punishment due to illegal crimes committed.
The Charter was put in place to guarantee freedom such as the right to life, and equality rights.
