Bring back the iPhone headphone jack

Historically, Apple computer has always tried to produce products with features that made sense, and were forward thinking based on trends in the world. They haven't always been right, but they always tried to anticipate what was best for the consumer...until now.

The removal of the headphone jack from the iPhone lineup has created a nightmare situation for many consumers who can no longer use headphones and charge their phone without purchasing and carrying around additional dongles and connectors. They can't use universally standard headphones of their choice without another dongle/connector.

Apple has some of the best and brightest engineers in the WORLD. How is it that they can't figure out how to have a data port and an audio port on a compact phone, when EVERY other phone manufacturer has figured it out with phones just as feature packed and compact as theirs?
