Demand Grandville City Council Stop Arbitrary Restrictions on Common Pets

Grandville City Council is currently discussing placing arbitrary restrictions on common backyard poultry. This ordinance proposal would senselessly limit the number of animals a person can own, which would create a violation of ordnance if a person chose to feed their family off their own land.

Furthermore, the city has not discussed a grandfather clause for existing, well-established flocks meaning that the property owner would have to break up a family and potentially kill their pets.

There are currently ordinances in place that regulate noise and smell, and this ordnance will only harm law abiding citizens and their favorite pets.

Please spread this and rally support. It may be chickens now, but it can be cats and dogs next. Imagine having your dog removed because it had puppies and you went over the limit of allowed dogs. Just imagine the pain and confusion the animals will endure being separated from their families and the only homes they have known.
