Let Deaf Dogs Compete in AKC Obedience Events!

AKC is recognized for promoting responsible dog ownership and hosts numerous obedience events.  If a responsible owner has trained their deaf dog, why not let them compete in the obedience events for titles as well. They are allowed in Agility, Rally and Tracking
They can let hearing dogs compete with hand signals.
But a deaf dog that obeys by hand signals is not allowed to compete!!
Sure makes no sense to me!!
We believe that this regulation should be changed, and deaf dogs should be allowed to compete for AKC obedience titles as well as hearing dogs.
