Let's show Disney we won't give up fighting for Pixie Hollow!

The picture above is what Pixie Holow looked like, on the map in the game. From here you could fly to any location in Pixie Holow.

Disney's Pixie Hollow was an extremely beloved online world where girls and boys, young and old, could create their own fairy and fly into Pixie Hollow, the game that captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands of kids and adults across the world. It was exremely safe for kids, while still granting freedom for them to do what they pleased. Pixie Hollow fans have been fighting to bring it back for two years now- and they won't stop.(Scroll to the bottom to see a list of game features easy on the eyes)

For those of you who are saying, 'Oh, just another MMORPG(massively multiplayer online role playing game),' Stop right now. Pixie Hollow was more than that. There has yet to be another game where your character was as customizable(up to the point of highlights in your hair and dying the vast array of clothes they created) and you could freely do anything- it wasnt one of those games where all you have to do is complete the quest line and then you were done. No, it was much more than that. The graphics were astounding, as well as the animations. There were quests, exploring in the wilderness, collecting ingredients, hosting parties, customizing a beautiful, graceful fairy/sparrowman, exploring the different beautiful artistic meadows(each with unique music that added to the magic), playing minigames, chatting and making friends, buying and customizing clothes, roleplaying, leveling up your fairy, collecting badges, etc. The was so many fun things to do. On top of that, Disney created so many fun, special events where you could earn special items. Many of them coincided with holidays in real life, such as thanksgiving and the 'fairy feast', valentines day and the 'friendship festival', etc. In addition, faires got to participate in helping to change the seasons, with events for those too. During all these special events, all the meadows would be decked out in special decorations, and the ballroom would open with beautiful astounding decorations, unique to each event.

WARNING- If you don't want to hear a rant on some of the many pixie hollow features, skip to the fourth paragraph.
For some, Pixie hollow was all about buying and dyeing clothes, then going to fashion contests, held at fairies' homes. For others, it was about obtaining all the badges. Some enjoyed roleplaying or making youtube videos, while others chose mastering their fairy talent as their path. Or, you could do all of those and more! There was so many enjoyable things to do, and players got a sense of accomplishement when they achieved a badge, or got a piece of clothing or furniture you wanted. The game was especially good for young kids, as it taught them some fundemental skills(not noticable things that make the game boring, like integrated math.). For example, I actually learned to be a very fast typer because of Pixie Hollow. Chatting with other players and making friends gets you used to typing lots of words and eventually your fingers remember how to type those words and you can type faster and faster. Another thing it teaches is economic skills. The items you could buy in the game were actually worth buying. Most games are the "do quests kill stuff get money" kind of games, where somehow the monsters you kill give you all the gear you need, so there is no need for shopping. Pixie hollow however is nice in the way that there is no violence so it is good for little kids, and that when you fly around the meadows, there are 'ingredients'(items found in nature that fairies use for clothes, furniture, etc.) that your fairy can collect and put in their pouch(inventory). Ingredients can also be earned from playing minigames, and some are rarer than others. Players can exchange their ingredients that they earned through minigames and collecting for fashionable clothes and furniture. The clothes were nice because they had a wide array of styles, from skirts made of leaves to hip hop jean jackets to fairy summer camp t-shirts. All of these clothes were dyeable, with a wide array of colors, making it the most customizable clothing game I have ever seen. Anyway, back to the point. When players exchange their hard-earned ingredients for clothes or furniture they desire, they get a sense of accomplishement. Another thing was that new clothes came out every month, so players always got something fresh- it's not like if you don't like this month's clothes, you'll have to go naked.

Two years ago, Disney suddenly announced that the game was closing. Everyone was confused and freaked out, since just last week, The Never Council(Pixie Hollow people who post the news and things) had given a normal weekly post, business as usual. Disney let everyone have full access to the game, no payment required, until the closing date of Sept. 19, 2013. Disney prided itself on its customer service. However, as soon as they announced the closing, they cut off the Pixie Hollow Help lines and emails. The other Disney Help emails and phone lines sent generated responsed to anyone who tried to protest. Disney closed the gates of Pixie Hollow, then shut us out in the dark. On the Pixie Hollow site, they posted an FAQ on why it closed. Disney's answer was that they were "committed to high quality mobile apps and entertainment, and were shifting their focus towards other Disney entertainment." Disney said the same thing when they closed diwn the German and Russian versions of Club Penguin(By the way, Club Penguin is NOT even comparable to Pixie Hollow. You can hardly do anything!). And besides, who would shut down an amazing game with an amazing community of kids and adults alike, to shift their focus on another entertainment thing(Most likely Disney Infinity), which may or may not be worth it!? Robert Iger stated they spent more than expected developing Disney Infinity. Pixie Hollow wouldn't have shut down because of money. With all the merhcandise related, and the fact that the game drew in players of all age and gender, money wouldn't be an issue. Pixie Hollow was targeted towards yound girls, and ended up being more sucessful than expected. Pixie Hollow originally had only fairies, and Disney had to add in sparrowmen(boy fairies) because of the amount of boys wanting to play the game! Many youtube accounts and blogs were formed centered on Pixie Hollow. It was a huge success! Also, Pixie Hollow DID have membership, but it was very cheap when you compare it to the amount of features the game had. If Disney had upped the price a bit, they would have gained a lot more money, that people would be willing to pay. So, speaking out to YOU, the Pixie Hollow community, and anyone willing to help. You can help us get Disney to bring Pixie Hollow, an amazing game Disney took away, you can help us to bring the magic back. Thank you so much if you signed this petition.

As you can see, Pixie Hollow had a whole lot of love and can never be replaced. Help us bring back this amazing site by signing the petition!

Please consider opening Pixie Hollow. It had a great community, was safe, and most important of all was the most amazing game. Nothing can replace Pixie Hollow. Everyone who ever loved Pixie Hollow will never stop wishing for it to come back. Please, listen to our voices and bring the Hollow back.

It is worth bringing back because..

-If you raised the membership prices a bit(they were pretty low) you could earn more money!

-Pixie Hollow was a great game not only for the targeted age range of young girls, but for boys and girls of all ages. That was the magic Disney brought: that you never had to grow up. With this game, siblings, parents, and grandparents could play together and share the magic! It brought in all sorts of kids and adults, and with all the Pixie Hollow and Tinkerbell merchandise, it's hard to believe Pixie Hollow could lose money or popularity!

-Unlike Disney Infinity, where more money than intended was spent, Pixie Hollow was more sucessful than expected, gathering a larger audience than was aimed for. It wasn't overly pricy, like Disney Infinity had to be because it was expensive to develop.

-All the amazing features Pixie Hollow had! Some of them were rarely seen in other games and that made it very unique. This made it impossible to find a replacement game for Pixie Hollow. For example, gathering ingredients and dyeing your own clothes! Tailoring your own clothes and putting highlights in your hair! What other game has fairies this fashionable?

-Although it may not seem like it, not having the game be centered on a main quest storyline was a plus. Instead of a game most gamers would see as, "Oh, just gotta complete the storyline and then I've completed the game.", It was a magical, creative playground where players could do whatever they wanted. Collect badges, quests, host parties, roleplay, hang out with friends, do on adventures, and more! There wasn't an end goal to get to in the game so players never felt like they had completed everything the game had to offer, so it had a sustainable player population.

-The graphics were beautiful, as well as the animations! The music always fit the theme and had lots of meaning to it.

-Earning ingredients themselves to exchange for clothing/items they wanted gave kids a sense of achievement!

-Talking and making friends gave kids typing experience to help them become fast typers!

-Having pets gave kids a responsibility, and they were fun to care for!

-Fun minigames to play that made you feel like a real fairy!

-The events were amazing, and how the meadows were decorated to fit the occasion was fantastic! The events really made you feel like you helped to change the seasons.

All in all, this game brought in a lot of money, was very popular, and a very well designed game. Kids and adults alike loved it. If you look on the internet, kids have tried to design their own Pixie Hollow, on websites like Scratch. People have made hundreds, at least, of petitions to bring Pixie Hollow back. People have created their own youtube channels, posted videos about their memories on Pixie Hollow, and saying goodbye to the game. People have written Pixie Hollow blogs, created Pixie Hollow fan websites, wikis, forums, and more. Don't you see? Pixie Hollow was adored by so many. I hope for this petition to change your mind about closing the game all of those people out there loved, because right now, they are all wishing and hoping for Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust to help open the doors to Pixie Hollow again.
