The Carver Recreation Center in the City of Charlottesville, has always been a venue that the African American Community could rent for private dances, parties, etc. for over 60 years. It is housed in the Jefferson School Bldg that is a know historical site(once was the only all black school in this city). It has now been renovated, hours of operation are 6:00-12:00. We would like to see the same hours of operation that it has had for the last 60 years.
