Justice For Dogs Found In Deplorable Conditions with Possible Criminal Neglect Charges

In Chippewa Township, Pennsylvania, police engaged in an investigation that led to the discovery of several dogs living in horrific conditions. Authorities and rescuers stated that they literally needed shovels to get through the trash and feces strewn throughout the home of a resident in Beaver County. For safety reasons, workers wore hazmat suits and carried nets necessary in not only helping the dogs but rounding up several cats as well.

Officers came to the home to do a check on a teenager suspected living at the address. The boy was not there but several animals were at the premises, alone. The actual owner of the home and dogs was no longer staying at the house and could possible face some animal cruelty charges; 15 animals were discovered and rescued at the address. Despite living in such a cruel, horrific and neglectful situation, the animals are all doing well in the custody of the Beaver County Humane Society.

Many of the animals were offspring of other dogs on the premises and a spokesperson for the humane society believes the woman let the situation get out of hand without asking for help, eventually abandoning the situation. We are trying to gain justice for all the dogs in this neglectful condition by asking for criminal neglect charges against this “owner”, if proven guilty of such, by signing and sharing this petition.

Chippewa Township Police Chief Robert Berchtold – A full investigation needs to determine the guilt of the owner of the 15 animals rescued that were living in horrific conditions in Beaver County. Although the animals appeared to be healthy, they were living in a trash, urine and feces infested home for weeks without the owner’s presence. This is cruel, unjust and neglectful “care” of these animals. The original owner of the animals, who left them for weeks unattended needs to face animal cruelty criminal neglect charges and be banned from future pet ownership if she is found guilty in this matter. Animals cannot care for themselves and relied on her; she failed them and should be held accountable.
