House Bill 2340 wants to proclaim state control over these gorgeous horses and just last year, the U. S. Forest Service intended to remove all the horses from the Tonto National Forest. There would be danger in transferring management of the wild horses from federal to state management, seriously undermining efforts for federal protection for all wild horses.  This bill presents no real protection necessary for the well-being of these horses.

The effort in this petition is to urge the U. S. Forest Service to reject bill HB2340 that would cause more harm than good for the Salt River Horses.  You can help me in this effort by signing and sharing this petition, adding your own thoughts and comments in favor of the Salt River horses and the protection they deserve. They need to be free to roam and safe from exploitation.

U. S. Forest Service – I strongly urge you to reject House Bill 2340.  It appears that this bill in its current form would cause more harm for the animals than any good.  There would be danger in transferring management of the wild horses from federal to state management, seriously undermining efforts for federal protection for all wild horses.  This bill presents no real protection necessary for the well-being of these horses.
