A New Free And Open Video Sharing Platform For Daisy And The World

My friend Daisy lost her husband a couple years back. Her family lives across the country, so she's all alone next door. She's 60 years old. I help her with chores on the weekends, so she doesn't hurt herself.

One fine warm evening, she invited my wife and I over for supper. Like the soldier that she is, my wife introduced Daisy to YouTube. She has been constantly sharing her video "discoveries" with us ever since. She's so sweet and the videos help her cope. My wife's a genius.

A couple weeks ago her favorite videos stopped loading. I'll admit, her videos tend to get a tad strange. I went over to see what was going on. She's not computer savvy, obviously. Between you and me, I really went for the cookies! It turned out YouTube unsubscribed her from several channels, without her consent...

I never saw her so sad before, it made me angry. So I did some research. It turns out YouTube is pushing its censorship system. Everywhere I look, people say Google is pushing to kill so-called "extremist" videos-most of which tell the truth anyhow. And they're still doing it... So my anger drove me to action.

The John Doe Group--a group of high IQ people named after the TV series--connected with me after I replied to one of their comments on a political YouTube video. They shared the same concern and set me up with their Spectrum VPN to get organized. It was all really technical. Then a man by the name of Kent of the John Doe's reached out and gave me instructions on how to go ahead with the research.

The first step was reaching out to investors who would listen to my story. They referred me to other alternatives such as VidMe, Vevo and many others. However, when I consulted high-tech companies, they all said the same thing. Those platforms lack the juice Google has with YouTube. The John Doe Group has so much insight and wonderful ideas on how to make a better, free and open YouTube. It blew my mind.

We found a few investors who listened and agreed. Among them, was an extremely tech savvy creative agency in Los Angeles named Bello Digital. They do high-profile private client work. Bello and a couple other companies said they would support me, but had a couple of requirements.

First, I need enough user support. Second, I need plenty of so-called "MVP" content creators on board from the start. The second requirement will be the most challenging.

I needed to formulate a plan. It's straightforward. I create this petition to get enough signatures that will compel YouTube creators to sign on. Then I will reach back out to Bello and the others.

If you are interested, here is what I need from you. Please sign this petition in the right column. Enter your information. I can't actually see your email address, so I intend to update you from this site only.

Daisy's favorite channels are not MVPs, but I demanded they be included. We're calling the new service "Gatsbassery". That's what Daisy says when she discovers a new video she likes.

Please show your support by signing my petition.

Say NO to YouTube censorship and sign this petition to start a new free and open platform!
