Demand protection for our children at ALL schools and Universities

The United States has more mass shootings than any other country. A mass shooting is usually defined as a shooting resulting in at least four victims, excluding the perpetrator.
he frequency in which mass shootings occur depends upon definition. In recent years, the number of public mass shootings has increased substantially, even though there has been a massive decrease in gun related deaths. The decrease has been attributed to better policing, a better economy and environmental factors.[9]
Studies indicate that the rate at which public mass shootings occur has tripled since 2011. Between 1982 and 2011, a mass shooting occurred roughly once every 200 days. However, between 2011 and 2014 that rate has accelerated greatly with at least one mass shooting occurring every 64 days in the United States.
It's not even two full months into 2018 and there have already been 17 school shootings — more than twice as many as this time last year.
The attack on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, is the 17th U.S. school shooting within the first 45 days of the year. The count for 2017 school shooting was 65, including seven through Feb. 14. The last year that neared 2018's total for the first 45 days of the year was 2014, in which there were 15 school shootings midway through February. There were 58 total school shootings in 2014.
The children in this modern time Should NOT feel terrified or scared to go to any school. There is a lot of talk from All sides Republican, Democrat, Independent offering condolences and prayers after every tragedy. Thanks But no thanks, WE THE PEOPLE demand action and protection for the children of our nation. It's time to put the wealthy people's money to good use and have metal detectors at every entrance, armed security on the grounds at all times, bulletproof windows, whatever it takes to protect these and every other children. LET"S BAN TOGETHER and put an end to the mass shootings and ban assault weapons while we are at it. Stronger mental health advocacy as well. NO MORE, we will not stand by the wayside ANY MORE.
