We support the nomination of PFC Bradley Manning for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize

OCCPR (The Oklahoma Center for Conscience and Peace Research) will be submitting its nomination of native Oklahoman PFC Bradley Manning for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize in December 2012.

Bradley Manning is being nominated because of his act of conscience in leaking documents and other evidence of war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, including the notorious "collateral murder" video (downloadable at www.collateralmurder.org) which shows US forces firing on Iraqi civilians, members of the press and children.

Currently Bradley Manning is sitting in a military prison awaiting trial in a US military court-martial. We believe Bradley Manning should be immediately freed. We are joined in this call by three past Nobel peace prize laureates (Desmond Tutu, Mairead Maguire, and Adolfo Pérez Esquivel) who also are calling for Bradley Manning's release.

OCCPR is asking for Oklahomans (and all people of the world) to ign this petition in support of our nomination of PFC Bradley Manning for the Nobel Peace Prize. We will be submitting these signatures with our formal nomination to the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize Committee.
